When Javon met Kedishia
How We Met
It was the September of 2016, on the University of Technology, Jamaica campus, when what would erupt into a beautiful love story began. Kedishia had just started her university journey and as an eager first year she wanted to participate in everything. Her ambitions would soon land her a position as the First Year Representative for her faculty. It was this position that would introduce her to her would-be husband, Javon. Although, you would never have known the two would fall in love if you had seen them that day!
The two started off as just friends until almost two years later when what was once friendship began to blossom into attractraction. After remaining mere acquaintances for almost 2 years, Javon reached out to Kedishia to ask her out on a date. After much hesitation, Kedishia finally agreed and the two have been inseparable ever since! I guess you can say the rest is history!
2018
First Date!
The year of the first date! After almost a month of separation brought on by distance, the two were finally able to go on their first date! Movie dates would eventually become one of their favorite things to do together. Just ask Kedishia, she kept all the tickets!
2019
Growing Strong!
The year of meeting all the friends and family! After 1 year of dating, the couple confidently introduced each other to their friends and family. They were really hitting it off! Date nights were frequent and the love grew!
2020
It’s Getting Serious!
The year of seriously committing! By now, this isn’t new, young, puppy love, this love now requires work and both Javon and Kedishia were definitely putting in the work! Consistency and routine became important. The two made an effort to place priority on their relationship and protect what they had built.
2021
Going Steady!
The year of steady love! The new saying will be if you can withstand COVID, you can withstand anything! After battling university, new jobs, conflicting schedules, these lovebirds now had to battle a pandemic! Fortunately, both their health and love made it through!
2022
She Said YES!
The year of new beginnings! He popped the question and she said yes! Now these two lovebirds are planning their happily ever after! A brand new adventure and a whole new world, let’s celebrate as their story takes on a whole new turn!
